First of all, I have gotten the *very* *very* best deals from Overstock.com.  They're sort of like an internet outlet store.  Their stock changes daily, but if you can get on their mailing list, you get notifications on some fabulous deals.  They have really low prices, free shipping, and no tax.  I have bought a computer, a video card, some software, an under-the-counter radio / CD player for my kitchen and a CD burner from them.    The only thing is that you have to check what they're offering pretty often.

Wow!  Talk about easy easy easy gift-giving!  I used to do all of my Christmas, Birthday, etc... gift shopping at the bank (buying American Express Gift Checques...)  but now all I have to do is sit on my butt, and buy net gift certificates!  It's great!
